VTU inviting PhD holders to become Reseach Guide

If you are a PhD holder and have three to four years of experience, you could be eligible to guide those planning to pursue research at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

VTU vice-chancellor H Maheshappa on Sunday admitted that there is a shortage of 25,000 doctorates in the university and there aren't many professors to guide students who want to pursue research. "Hence, we are planning to invite those who have completed their doctorate and are working in other fields to guide teachers and students," he said.

"Vidyarthi Adalat" by VTU.

“Those things that hurt, instruct.” These line by Benjamin Fraklin is becoming true as the Visvesvaraya Technological University has finally decided to organize the student adalat named "Vidyarthi Adalat" every month to address the grievances of students.

This news  has come to student as a surprise gift for the new year.

 H Maheshappa, vice-chancellor of VTU announced that the university will organize a 'Vidyarthi Adalat' at all its regional centres to address the grievances of students.

He said the adalats would be held every month. Starting from Gulbarga centre in February and later be extended to Belgaum, Bangalore and Mysore centres.
